Savour these yummy recipes sent by our reader Mamta Verma


Coconut Halwa
Ingredients
Coconut-1
Milk-half litre
Some dry fruit-finely chopped
Cardamom powder-a little

Method:
Grate the coconut and keep aside
Pour milk in a karahi and boil. Simmer and add coconut stirring it until the milk is soaked. Add sugar.
l Add cardamom powder and dry fruit in it and serve hot.

Gud til ke laddu
Ingredients:
200 gm jaggery
200 gm sesame seeds
tsp ghee
Some chopped dry fruit

Method:
Roast the sesame seeds in a karahi until light golden. Remove from fire.
Put ghee in a karahi. Crush jaggery and put in it. When the jaggery melts, take the karahi off the stove. Add sesame seeds and mix well.
Grease palms and shape the mixture into small balls. Remember, this should be done when it is warm and can be easily handled.
